  • young (adj.) being in an early period of life or growth; not old
    - She’s married with two young children.

  • child (n) a young person of either sex

  • teenager (n.) a young person between the ages of 13 and 19
    - You don't think, especially as a teenager, that something like this will happen.

  • adult (n) a fully developed person from maturity onward
