Definitions and samples

  • physical (adj.) related to the body; related to materials that can be seen or felt


- He still has to prove he has the physical skills, but he clearly has the brains.

  • peril (n.) serious and immediate danger (v.) expose to danger; threaten


- Add to this young, reckless teenagers, and we are all in peril behind the wheel.

  • redundant (adj.) not or no longer needed or useful; superfluous


- Get rid of any redundant or unwanted items and survey what is left.

  • tolerant (adj.) showing willingness to allow the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with.
