Definitions and samples

  • generation (n.) a group of people born at about the same time

- The current generation of athletes has grown up in an era of doping.

  • frigid (adj.) very cold in temperature

- They didn't adapt fast enough to survive the frigid temperature and lack of pressure.

  • hostile (adj.) having an angry or mean attitude toward something or someone. Treating someone or something like an enemy

- Military officials do not believe the crash was caused by hostile fire.

  • accomplish (v.) achieve or complete successfully

- Emily accomplished her task of bathing the dog.

  • accurate (adj.) free from errors; correct in all details; exact

- So the charts paint the most accurate pictures possible with the data available.
