Definitions and samples

  • adapt (v.) to adjust to the circumstances; to make suitable

- They adapt to the conditions here, the climate, the training, the food.

  • qualify (v.) become fit; show that you are able

  • polite (adj.) having good manners; behaving in a way that is socially approved
